Hi Family and Friends,
On behalf of Ryan and Melissa we are raising funds to help pay medical expenses for their twins- Grayson and Avery.
At 11:15pm on October 26th 2015 at 24 weeks gestation, baby boy Grayson and baby girl Avery entered the world. Grayson only weighted 1lb 9oz and Avery only 1lb 7oz. While they were little, they were fighters. The doctor said they had strong heartbeats. In the first days both babies had blood transfusions and had many ups and downs. However each day at 11:15pm, Ryan and Melissa were thankful the babies made it through another day.
On Tuesday November 3rd Ryan and Melissa received test results on both babies. They were told that Avery had a few issues, including a brain bleed, and Grayson's tests were fine. While the news on Avery was discouraging, Ryan and Melissa were positive and determined that whatever her issues were, they could work through them. Later that evening at 2am Ryan and Melissa received several calls from the hospital. Grayson's health was quickly deteriorating so they rushed to the hospital. After 8 days of fighting, Grayson passed away.
Avery is still fighting and facing many medical hurdles. She has a very long road ahead. Doctors are estimating she will be in the NICU until February. This is in addition to any medical issues or procedures she may need thereafter. Even after insurance, the out of pocket medical costs could be upwards of $50,000.
Given everything Ryan and Melissa already have to worry about, we do not want them to also worry about medical expenses. We all love them very much and would do anything to ease their situation.
Ryan and Melissa will be VERY touched and grateful for this help. It will help them focus on helping Avery be the best she can be.
