Help Avery recover from Brain Surgery

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Christina, Avery’s Gramma we are fundraising for the care of Avery & her family.

Coming together to lift up Avery Olivia in a time that is uncertain, scary, challenging and completely foreign.

We have created this fundraiser to support Avery and her family. Avery has been diagnosed with a brain cancer called pilocytic astrocytoma. An egg sized tumor was found in the left temporal lobe of her brain affecting the right side of her limbs & fine motor skills, speech and vision. A miracle of removing this mass included major brain surgery near the brain stem.
The neuro surgery was very successful, a miracle in fact! Next steps for Avery requires intense therapies for recovery focusing on regaining basic movements to start. We are so focused on cheering her on and getting Avery back to better days.
Her progress in healing has the medical staff amazed! Coming out of surgery Avery cannot walk or fully function the right arm /leg. But with the help and guidance of such phenomenal, caring and educated Physical therapist, occupational therapist and speech pathologist; Avery is working so incredibly hard to improve her speech, strength and muscle memory. Everything is coming in strides, we are in awe of her resilience. She is still improving... And although It's very very hard to see her this way, the best gift we could ever have asked for is the blessing of her strength, perseverance & courage! She is really blowing everyone here away with her progress we are so thankful.

We may not know how long...she will be at the hospital and we don't really know what better way to encourage her than to let God lead the way. Hope over fear and truth by way of seeing the power that faith has. May we offer support, help, faith & prayers that move mountains to keep Avery in the place she needs for the quickest recovery.

Thank you everyone for being so kind and supportive.

Along with our hope in providing financial stability and prayers that her mom can stay home for a while after her hospitalization and help with Avery’s needs and her family with this go fund me, Avery's little sisters elementary school created bracelets that say "Avery Brave" as a contribution to her needs at this time. (This was Avery's elementary school).

If you are able to support the elementary school in this, please let us know so we can all can come together.
The elementary is Cole Academy East Lansing campus to purchase "Avery Brave" bracelets.

We are beyond blessed and surrounded by love amidst this major brain surgery and being a witness of her preserving through a journey of healing with faith and God's strength on her side.

We recognize how powerful feeling loved, supported and cared for has shown us for Avery while she is in recovery. She is the most resilient, confident & brave... The most kind, compassionate & the sweetest young lady in this whole place. We are thankful for the Mott's nurse staff for being trustworthy and genuine and the Mott's Dr. Team for their expertise, their passion and their dedication to healing our sweet girl.

As an update: Avery has just been moved to rehabilitation at Mott's children's hospital which is incredible news... For patients who are ready to begin recovery for their new journey home!!
Yay!

Thank you, for contributing to the care and needs of Avery & her family.
