It is with heaviest hearts that we share the passing of Avery Vanessa Vargas Pollock, who was born into the world on Sunday, September 28 at 7:47 PM, 7lbs. 11oz., surrounded by love.

On October 1, despite every effort and the most intensive medical care, our sweet girl could not stay with us. Though her time here was heartbreakingly brief, she will forever be remembered, cherished, and deeply loved by all who held her in their hearts from the very beginning.

We know that no words can fill the void left by her absence, but the love and support of you, their loved ones, mean more than we could ever express. As Austin and Vanessa grieve this unimaginable loss, this fund has been created to help ease the financial burden of medical expenses, memorial costs, and the time they need to heal.

Thank you to their incredible at-home healthcare providers, Katia, Trinette, Ambria, and the teams at both St. Mark’s Hospital and Primary Children’s Hospital NICU who provided such attentive and compassionate care to Avery, Vanessa, and Austin during this difficult time.
