Avery Hansen Cancer Fundraiser

This is Avery. She's 18 years old and was recently diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma. Her treatment plan is rigorous as this rare type of cancer is very aggressive. She does have insurance. However, the amount of travel and time off her mother has needed to care for her has created a significant financial burden. That is the last thing they need to be worrying about right now. Avery has received 6 cycles of high dose chemotherapy. She had a wide surgical resection of her sarcoma at Huntsman Cancer Institute in SLC, UT on July 3.

She has now returned home to Pocatello to continue treatment. She will have 8 more cycles of chemotherapy. During this time she begin surveillance imaging to monitor for recurrence of disease. She will continue surveillance for the next 10 years following treatment.
