Avery going to UNC-Chapel Hill medical forum
Donation protected
I want to accomplish my number one goal, which is to use my gifts and intelligence to help other people, in any way that may be. I also want to accomplish a much better understanding of the human body, because there is still so much I don’t know. I want to be known for something incredible that I worked hard for, like being an amazing cardiothoracic surgeon or a brilliant neuroscientist, and I know I can achieve that. -Avery
Avery has a dream of becoming a doctor. Since a young age she has taken her studies through Spanish immersion and now high school very seriously. With her classes all being honors or AP level she is holding a 3.9 GPA and is an active member of the International Neurology club.
Due to her accomplishments and interests in medicine, Avery has accepted an invitation to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum-Medicine this summer at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. This program will be great exposure into the medical field for Avery. She will experience seminars by various doctors, exposure to emergency medicine, trauma simulators, hands on training, surgical exposure along with earning college credit for her participation along with much more.
This is a very exciting opportunity for Avery and we are looking for family and friends to help support Avery on this trip! Avery’s cost for the program is $3,000 (includes airfare). Any donations are greatly appreciated and Avery will be following up with a recap of her experience when the program is finished!
