My name is Averie Owens, and I am raising money towards an opportunity for a lifetime. I have been invited to represent Burleson as a delegate to the Congress of Future Medical Leaders in Boston this summer. The invitation was an honor, as they only invite students who have a high GPA, potential for leadership, and an interest in pursuing a career in a medical field.
My goals for the future are to attend Louisiana State University to study neuropsychology. My plan is to work in the field of neuroscience as a researcher. Attendance at this conference would help me prepare for this by putting me in contact with
- Winners of the Nobel Prize
- Award-winning young inventors and scientists
- Prominent medical school deans
- Leaders in medicine
-Other students who have similar goals to mine
The tuition for the conference, along with travel and lodging expenses will cost approximately $2000. My family plans to attend with me, but they will pay their own way.
I would appreciate any amount to help me reach this financial goal, as I would like to attend without putting the burden entirely on my parents. I have until January 12 to accept the invitation, so if I could raise the money by then, it would be amazing. Thank you in advance for your support!
