Auvenshines support with ongoing medical expenses

Many of you know our friends, Pastor Darrel and Kim Auvenshine. In August 2020, Darrel was diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer of the pancreas. To the glory of God Darrel was treated first by the hand of God and secondly by the amazing team of physicians at UTSW Dallas and as a result in October 2020 was free from all cancer. Hundreds of you gave to support the Auvenshine's financially during a true crisis that left them in great debt. They are forever grateful for every expression of love over those months as well as the years following. Darrel has enjoyed good health allowing him to continue with the ministry God has called him to.

In October 2022, Darrel went for his annual CT Scan which showed concerning growth in His liver. He was scanned again in January 2023 and it was confirmed that there are multiple neuroendocrine tumors in his liver and lymph nodes. His new oncologist at UTSW Dallas ordered additional MRI and CT Scans which showed growth and movement and Darrel was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer. He is awaiting the next appointment to determine what treatment if any will begin at this time.

Darrel and Kim are extremely hopeful and confident that God is not finished with him yet. To live is CHRIST! to die is Gain! We cannot lose as followers of Jesus Christ. The focus is on living. Darrel is not experiencing any symptoms of cancer at this time to the glory of God. They are expecting many years of healthy life. Wisdom leads them to continue with the wisdom of the medical team that will help care for Darrel but this comes at a high price. Even with insurance, the Auvenshine's are facing seemingly insurmountable expenses.

Friends and family are reaching out to a larger sphere through this Go Fund Me page to raise support for the Auvenshine's again. Per Darrel's request, if you have given in the past few years, please understand we are not asking you to give again unless you are led to do so by God. There is the remaining debt still being paid off from 2020 and now additional expenses that have quickly risen beyond what is manageable.

Anyone that knows Darrel understands that this man has devoted his life to the love and care of others; as one called by God to reach out to the helpless, hurting and homeless in the city of Fort Worth, Texas and various cities in America and internationally. Darrel has sacrificially and selflessly ministered to the ones society rejects and cast aside.

As love calls out to us now is our opportunity to help his precious family that has helped so many others.
