Hello lovely people. I never thought I would be writing one of these, but here we are.

I find it very difficult to ask for help. Not because of pride, but because I always think I can sort out things myself. Turns out this time I can’t.

Avena has a brain tumour. It is pressing her pituitary gland and growing really fast, which causes confusion, lack of hunger, involuntary eye movements and trouble in her back legs.

The best shot we have for her to feel better is to reduce the size of the tumour with radiotherapy. This is a non-invasive method that will give her a good quality of life, instead of quickly deteriorating.

The treatment is very expensive (over 100,000 mxn / £4,000) and it can only be done in Guadalajara. I can’t work remotely, so will have to leave her in a specialised hospital with pension for the 10 sessions she needs.

We need to act fast and I haven’t been able to gather all the money that is needed, so I am asking for your help. Every little counts ✨

If you know me, you know how much I love Avena and how much she loves me. I just want her to feel ok again.

Hola, gente bonita. Nunca pensé que tendría que escribir algo así, pero aquí estamos.

Me cuesta muchísimo pedir ayuda. No por orgullo, sino porque siempre creo que puedo resolver las cosas por mi cuenta. Pero esta vez, no puedo.

Avena tiene un tumor cerebral. Está presionando la hipófisis y está creciendo muy rápido, lo que le causa confusión, falta de apetito, movimientos involuntarios en los ojos y problemas en las patitas traseras.

La mejor oportunidad que tenemos para que se sienta mejor es reducir el tamaño del tumor con radioterapia. Es un método no invasivo que puede darle una buena calidad de vida, en lugar de deteriorarse rápidamente.

El tratamiento es muy costoso (más de $100,000 MXN / £4,000) y solo se puede realizar en Guadalajara. Yo no puedo trabajar de manera remota, así que tendré que dejarla internada en un hospital especializado, durante las 10 sesiones que necesita (3 semanas aprox).

Necesitamos actuar rápido y no he podido reunir todo el dinero que se requiere, así que hoy estoy pidiendo su ayuda. Absolutamente todo suma ✨

Si me conocen, saben cuánto quiero a Avena y cuánto me quiere ella. Solo quiero que vuelva a sentirse bien.
