Mission Trip to Guatemala
Donation protected
Hello Everyone,
As I begin my Senior Year of Nursing School (wow!!) at Saint Joseph's College, I have one last goal to achieve: Return to Haiti!
For those of you who know me, my passion is being at the service of others, especially those who need it most. I have been to the beautiful country of Haiti two times now and am fortunate enough to be able to go again this December.
My first time visiting this country, all of you were so kind enough to donate and fund my trip, and for that, I am eternally grateful.
The second trip I attended, lit a fire inside me. Going to a place, thinking that I knew what to expect when in reality, what I had done had only made a small impact in the lives of those we had helped. It felt comparable to speck of dust in the air.
Leaving this last time was undoubtedly much harder, and because of this, Haiti continues to hold my whole heart. The depths of poverty in these people's lives are almost incomprehensible.
I made a promise to the people of Haiti to return for as long as I am able. I am extremely thankful for those of you who gave me the opportunity to help these people, and because of you, I am able to return.
However, much like the first time, I am funding this trip by myself. I understand money is tight, so please don't feel compelled to donate. If you would consider even sharing this post, to help me reach my goal, I will forever be thankful. I sincerely appreciate all and any help received.
Thank you a million times over
