Monument of Peace

In honour of our deceased father, we are continuing to raise money for the continued construction and the 2017 opening ceremony.

This is his history, a memorial of Avdo's Grandfather, Hamza Pasic, and as well as honoring all those who died in World War I, World War II and the most recent Yugoslavian war from 1992 to 1995.

It is with deep sadness we wanted to let you know that our father, Avdo Pasic passed away this past weekend.

We were all together this summer and spent our time comforting him in his fight to stay with us. Sadly the effects of a stroke and pulmonary edema eventually took him from us. It has been a very emotional time for our family, however, there is a lot to be grateful for as we come to peace with his passing.

The stories of his life are endless and throughout his journey, he showed incredible strength, conviction and a strong passion for his people. He loved his family and community.

He recently dedicated a monument of peace as a tribute to his family and friends who lost their lives in the wars in Bosnia. A book and a documentary about his life will be published in 2017.
