Sri Lanka was struck by Cyclone Ditwah just a few days ago, claiming at least 465 lives and destroying more than 25,000 homes, affecting more than 1 million people across the island. Entire communities in the central and highland regions have been left without shelter, belongings, or access to basic necessities. While we are safe here in the south, many families are now facing the daunting reality of having to rebuild their lives from nothing.

To begin this effort, as the fundraiser organisers — The Kip, Ceylon Sliders, Good Dharma, Zippy, and Sunshine Stories — have contributed a combined Rs 500,000 as an initial donation already donated for immediate aid through grass roots organisations.

As the situation shifts from immediate rescue to recovery, fund raisers become one of the most effective forms of aid. The charities we work with are on the ground and will ensure to purchase only exactly what they need — whether that’s temporary shelter, clean water, food supplies, medicine, school materials, or rebuilding tools.

During the years we have created relationships with certain Charities to whom we've donated before, which we know will do their best to the people most in need. The funds raised here will be distributed as per below:

25% for Kind Hearted Lankans

25% for Sambol Foundation

25% for Palmera

25% for trusted grassroots initiatives run by community leaders who are already working directly with affected families.

These organisations ensure that support reaches those who need it most, without delay.
