Hi, my name is Jessica, and I’m fundraising for my daughter, Ava.
Ava was born a beautiful, seemingly healthy baby. Shortly after birth, everything changed. She began having seizures and was urgently transferred to another hospital, where she underwent extensive testing and round-the-clock monitoring. That’s when we received news no parent is ever prepared for — Ava was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, and later, epilepsy.
Today, Ava is walker- and wheelchair-dependent, but she is so much more than her diagnoses. From the very beginning, we were told what her limitations might be — and from the very beginning, Ava has been proving them wrong. Through determination, hard work, and an incredible spirit, she has already come farther than anyone predicted, and we are endlessly proud of her.
As her parents, we want to do everything within our power to give Ava the best possible future. This fundraiser is our way of opening doors to additional therapies that are often costly, not covered, or only available outside of our country — therapies such as intensive neurological and rehabilitative treatments that could further support her development and independence. We are also hoping to eventually purchase a Trexo robotic mobility device that can attach to her walker, a life-changing piece of technology designed to help children like Ava strengthen their bodies, practice walking, and gain confidence through movement.
Every donation — no matter the size — along with every share and word of encouragement, truly makes a difference. Your support helps give Ava access to opportunities that could significantly improve her quality of life and long-term outcomes.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of Ava’s journey and for believing in what’s possible for her.
