Our friends Pat and Greg Avalos have been deeply impacted by the Covid-19 virus. For the past month both Pat and Greg have been fighting extremely hard against this virus. Greg has been at home fighting to get better each day but unfortunately Pat has been in a medically induced coma for the past three weeks fighting for her life.
Yesterday we had a positive step in Pat's medical journey and the doctors were able to remove her breathing tube and slowly take her off her sedation medication. However, we are still waiting and praying for Pat to fully wake up on her own. As soon as Pat is awake, the doctors will work on her muscle memory and get her started on physical therapy. Pat has an extremely long road of recovery ahead of her and will not be able to leave the hospital until she can function on her own without any medical assistance.
As if Pat and Greg's medical issues weren't enough, they are now being forced to find new housing. Cheri is currently looking for a new place for them to live and they will be needing to pack and be out of their current home soon. With Pat and Greg both out of work due to the virus and not knowing when they will be able to return, their financial responsibilities have fallen on Tianna, Jackie, and Cheri. While the three of them are doing their best to provide for their parents, the amount of medical bills, physical therapy bills, moving expenses, and all the day to day bills will be piling up.
If you have had the pleasure to meet Pat and Greg you know that they are the most fun loving people and constant source of positive energy. If you have had the honor to call them either one of them a friend, than you have known their warmth, dedication, love and loyalty. They are the definition of supportive and during this devastating time, Pat and Greg need our support more than ever. Any help will be greatly appreciated. These funds will help so they both can focus on getting healthy and back on their feet.
Pat's medical journey is still ongoing and unknown so prayers are needed and deeply appreciated as well. Thank you for all of you that have reached out so far showing support, sending prayers, and asking how you can help. We cannot wait to tell Pat about all of the love and support she has received. We know she will feel so loved.
