My name is Terra a family friend of the Avalos family.

On Saturday, December 19th, what should have been a joyful holiday season quickly turned into a moment we will never forget. That evening, the apartment building where my partner and his family lived was engulfed in flames. The fire burned for some time before it was finally put out.

By God’s grace, everyone made it out safely after a passerby went door to door knocking and waking residents. For that, we are truly thankful.

Unfortunately, the fire caused the loss of their home and many personal belongings. Now, my partner and his family are trying to rebuild during a season that is usually filled with joy, rest, and time with loved ones.

As we work to move forward and keep our faith strong, any support given—whether through a donation or sharing our story—is deeply appreciated. Whatever is placed on your heart, we receive with gratitude.
