On February 11th Christine and her 5 year old daughter, Avalina, were in a horrible car accident in New Berlin, WI.   Her car was struck on the right side- where her daughter  was seated.  Christine sustained minor injuries and is healing well.  Avalina suffered a major stroke immediately following the accident and is now on life support at Children's Hospital.  The doctors are continuing tests to determine the amount of brain activity Avalina has.  The swelling in her brain continues to rise , delaying further testing.  On top of her brain injury, Avalina also suffered many cuts, a broken right leg and has now aquired pneumonia.  

Though Avalina was off of the ventilator for a short time and breathing on her own, she has been put back on it and is heavily sedated to give her body the rest it needs while she takes in antibiotics to combat the pneumonia.  Once she recovers from the lung infection, she will be given a cat scan to measure her brain activity and the severity of brain damage she has sustained.  

Christine and her family have remained by Avalina's side and are vigilant in their prayers for a miracle.  Avalina is a beautiful and feisty 5 year old who loves going to the library with her Mom, playing with her many cousins and singing.  She has a very loving and kind personality, but also a fighting spirit!  

While we continue to pray for a positive outcome, we must also start preparing for the escalating medical costs of Avalina's hospital stay and aftercare.  Your donation will greatly help Christine by  diminishing the stress and worry of their mounting bills-so they can focus on what matters right now,  Avalina and her recovery.  

The family is requesting as many prayers as possible for little Avalina.  Another way to show support is by wearing pink, purple or yellow in honor of Avalina.  These are her favorite colors.
