My name is Sierra Washington and I am organizing this fundraiser for my beautiful sister, Ava.

Ava was diagnosed with Stage 2 Squamous Cell Carcinoma, which is a type of skin cancer. She started radiation therapy a week ago and will continue to do so Monday through Friday for the next 6 weeks. Her doctor is hopeful that the radiation will prevent the spread or recurrence of the cancer in the future.

Ava is a strong and determined woman. She is a full time manager at Braum's Ice Cream and Dairy Store. She loves her job and the people she works with but, she is unable to work full time during the next two months due to the side effects of the radiation. She is strong and remaining optimistic but could use support from family and friends.

I am organizing this fundraiser to help relieve the financial burden that Ava will face during this time. Any donations made will contribute to her medical and personal financial obligations. Your generosity will mean more than words can express. Thank you for taking the time to read her story.
