Ava run 3km to raise money for Our Albie
Donation protected
Ava has set herself a challenge to get fit and raise money for her beautiful cousin Albie. The money will go towards getting him a specially made car seat suitable for his additional needs that will last him until he is 8 years old. This is currently looking like it will cost between £1200-£1500. If any extra is raised, it will go towards a mini break somewhere magical of his and his brothers choice. Starting Thursday, Ava will be training 3x a week to get to a goal of running 3km. Running is something she really struggles with and wants to improve on so she is challenging herself to get to her target with a goal or raising money for our little cerebral Palsy warrior. Her words were “I can do this, as it’s nothing like the challenges Albie has” ❤️ Albies story in a short version After private IVF treatment and a monitored but healthy pregnancy, Amy’s waters broke and she went into labour. She made her way to hospital (alone thanks to Covid) in a taxi but was sent home. The baby’s heartbeat was not monitored and unfortunately our beautiful boy was unknowingly struggling inside and his brain was being starved of oxygen. Both Amy and Albie had many forms of neglect, (not throwing accusations, after lots of lies and ridiculous excuses, liability has been admitted in an ongoing battle) and we were close to losing them both. The result of this has led to our gorgeous boy living his life with both spasticity & dystonia versions of Cerebral Palsy. Of course I could write an essay but that’s Amy’s story to tell. So Ava wants to help. She wants to make his life easier and make him smile (her words) so if you could donate anything towards her reaching her goal it would be amazing. I know times are hard atm, so 50p even would be fabulous to help her raise as much as she can. I’ll add photos and progress as she does her training runs. Thanks for reading ❤️
