Hello family and friends near and far,

We are reaching out to you with utmost love, regarding our oldest baby girl, Ava. Those who have met her know she is a very loving child.

Ava is playful, enjoys meeting new people and once she has made you one of her favorites, you know it immediately. She will be turning 3 in March.

Unfortunately, Ava was born with a rare heart defect called Partial Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Return or PAPVR. The right side of her heart is currently severely dilated. For the past 2 years, she has had multiple doctor visits, has been undergoing tests and been monitored by her cardiologist.

The doctors and specialists have determined she must undergo open heart surgery, to fix her heart and for her to be able to continue to live a healthy life. This surgery is scheduled for May.

Expected recovery is about 6 weeks, with 2 weeks being in the hospital, the remainder of the time recovering at home.
