Ava and family while Liz is on FMLA

Avalynn Rose was born 8 weeks early, she was found to have a vascular malformation that caused a ring around her trachea and esophagus. The ring has not caused any problems until a few weeks ago when she told us she was having trouble swallowing food and catching her breath at recess and PE. Upon further exam it was found that this ring was becoming tighter and tighter as she has grown. We saw Cardiology on Monday of this week and by Wednesday it was determined she needed surgical intervention to correct this before it caused major life threatening issues. Surgery was done 4/8, with few complications. Mom (Liz) is on FMLA to assist Ava during her recovery process. We have been so blessed with all of the prayers that have been sent our way. In Leiu of flowers (which she can't have in the ICU), balloons (her class brought by a bunch), or stuffed animals- we ask that you please assist our family in this difficult time.
