Where to start, I am starting this Go Fund Me fundraiser on behalf of the Fay family, their 2nd oldest son Landon, he is about to undergo open heart surgery to repair a VSD (ventricular septal defect, or a hole in the wall of his heart.) and have a pectus bar put in to treat his pectus excavatum ( which is a large dent in his chest) .
The Fay family faced medical adversities before when their first son was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and underwent surgeries and chemo treatments. They are a strong family and will persevere through this, I'm just asking for some support from our amazing community of friends and family.
If you have not met Landon, let me tell you about him, he is such a good teenager. Landon is smart, talented and so kind to everyone he meets. He loves skateboarding and volunteers his time with Project Lifelong (an awesome skateboarding program) as a mentor for middle schoolers. Landon is in honors classes at Del Campo high school and in his spare time when he's not throwing the football around with his brothers he produces videos on youtube. Landon is such an active kid and this surgery is going to help his future activities. He knows he has a long road to recovery and we don't know what that will look like for him, but he is a strong kid and I've never seen him turn down a challenge.
The final cost of the surgery isn't known yet so I set the amount to $12,000 this should help with surgery costs, and loss of wages while Tiffany takes some time off of work to help Landon recover at home.
This family is absolutely amazing, Mo has spent almost 19 years in the Army, and has severed many tours overseas, Tiffany is always willing to step up and volunteer her time in the community as well as their children. If you can donate that would be appreciated, if you can share that would be great too.
thanks for taking the time to read.
Ashlee.

Hi friends and family! I have tried to reach out to most of you in person to give you all updates so if I haven’t and you’re finding out from this post then I am truly sorry. It’s all a bit overwhelming. Most of you know that Landon was born with a heart condition called VSD (ventricular septal defect) We were hoping that as he got older and grew, the VSD would close and not cause issues. Our hopes did not come true unfortunately. Long story short, Landon will be undergoing open heart surgery on March 6th, along with having a pectus bar put in to treat his pectus excavatum (a caved in chest) the bar will stay in for 2 1/2 years. He has a very long recovery ahead of him. As a mom I am struggling emotionally with every day we get closer to the surgery date. Mo has been my rock along with the support of my friends and family. Landon has a heart of gold and is one of the most positive 14 year olds I know. We will get through this hurdle just like the ones we’ve encountered along the way. I’m just asking for you all to keep us in your thoughts and prayers.❤️ The Fay family
