Sam's Be Brave Campaign
Donation protected
For seven summers we have worked with Sam at Driftwood Day Camp, a place where we will always call our summer home. The five of us were lucky enough to have found one another and have been inseparable ever since.
Sam is a 7th and 8th grade Special Education teacher at the Manhattan Center for Children in New York City. She is the most kind hearted, selfless and most caring person. The passion and heart that she puts into teaching is astonishing. She has a heart of gold and always puts others before herself.
Over the summer, during A routine MRI, Doctors found a mass in Sam's brain. It was diagnosed as an Astrocytoma cancerous tumor. Sam is about to undergo agressive chemotherapy and radiation treatment in hopes of eradicating the tumor. Though faced with this terrible situation, Sam continues to remain positive. Her uplifting spirits, positive energy, unbelievable courage and strength are certainly apparent and is helping her get through. She has a smile on her face and plans to keep teaching as long as she can because yet again, she is always putting others before herself.
Although no amount of money will ever make Sam and her family forget about what's going on, we are kindly asking you to donate to them to help with all of her medical costs during this time. Insurance covers some but not all, and as you can imagine, treatments can become very expensive. Thank you so much for taking the time to read and contribute to an amazing cause. We appreciate any amount of your donation! We are all in this together with Sam and cannot wait until this is just a distant memory!
Love,
Alexa, Brittany, Stefanie & Liz
