Many of my friends know what a miracle dog Chester is. After surviving 7 days in the wilderness of Maine after a July 4 firework incident, the 20 lb chihuahua mix was discovered and returned to me in Virginia after 5 wonderful high school girlfriends shuttled him down the East Coast. I was incredibly blessed to have this guy back.

Over the past 5 years, Chester has continued to be an amazing support dog for me.

Unfortunately, earlier this year, Chester was diagnosed with an eye condition where his lenses became detached and his eyes are now becoming infected with Glaucoma - high pressure and cloudiness.

Sadly, after multiple vet visits, we have to proceed with having a procedure where his eye balls will need to be removed. It sounds horrific, but the vet assures me that he will continue to thrive and have a happy life. He is already using his nose and ears alot more and it is my understanding he will be able to rely on them and continue to be my buddy.
