With all that is happening with COVID-19 around the world and, specifically, in NYC we wanted to provide an update on Aux Epices at 121 Baxter Street.
As many of you stay home doing your crucial part to limit the spread of COVID-19, along with thousands of restaurants around the world, Aux Epices has had to close its doors to support this decision. We hope and pray that the government has a plan for the future of small businesses and the millions of service workers, because while unemployment benefits will provide small relief for some, for many it will not.
We're living in an unprecedented time, as of Thursday (3/20/20) I was still optimistic everything will be okay, New York is the unofficial capital of the world, we have the best doctors, best hospitals, best leading research teams……
But as of today 3/22/20 I don’t know when Aux Epices will open its doors again. This is a stressful and trying time for our community. That’s why—only if you have the means—we ask that you consider donating to our staff at Aux Epices. We have six employees, and they’re really more like family to us.
All proceeds will go to our staff, from servers to cooks to dishwashers, in an effort to help them through these hard times. We are doing our part to stay healthy and protect those around us, and are truly looking forward to opening our doors and serving our beloved community again as soon as we possibly can. Missing everyone already.
Love and thanks, Aux Epices, Mei & Marc
Updates of Aux Epices will be posted on our instagram & facebook pages.
