Help get Mark home.

Mark Winspear urgently needs repatriation from Greece to the UK for medical reasons (psychiatric care). He needs treatment and care from friends and family plus the NHS to recover from a major mental breakkdown which occurred in September resulting in hospitalisation on Rhodes. In his own words: "I never thought I would need to ask for help, but due to my serious medical condition I now know that I need the help of friends! Even if only a proportion of my many 100s of friends donate as little as £1.00 it will help me."

As one of his many friends I am raising funds to firstly cover his flight costs and Emergency Travel Documents as advised by the British Consulate. This will require a minimum of £800.00 urgently to cover travel and outstanding debts which he needs to repay now. Any additional funds raised will help Mark cover essential daily spending on food, medicines, etc. before and after travelling.

He has been offered accommodation upon arrival in England with a trusted friend with mental health and caring experience to help him get the best support to enable him to rebuild his health, begin working and paying his way in life again.

Together we can help Mark do this as he now recognises that he needs help, medication and support to help him survive and contribute to society, friends and family once again. Mark appears outwardly to be strong and happy.

Due to using his savings to help a friend he was not able to afford to live as due to Covid-19 Mark lost work and income leading to debts. He did secure a new job in July but lost this when hospitalised.
