- I
Hello. As some of you may know, Autumn use to attend Lake Whitney. She was in Ms. Renzulli/Ms. Stacie's class and finished out in Ms. Martinez's class around Christmas Break. We recently relocated to Volusia County due to a divorce. Autumn who is 7, was in the car with her dad, older sister Amber who is 8, and younger brother Austin who is 4. They were in a terrible car accident on Sunday 2/19/2023 coming back to my house. Amber and Austin made it out okay with some scrapes and bruises. Autumn, however, was intubated at the site of the accident and airlifted to Arnold Plamer Children's Hospital. She has been intubated and sedated since the accident (going on day 8, 2/27/23). She suffered pressure on her brain and multiple bruises to her brain. They placed an EVD (external ventricle drain) to release some pressure from her brain which was removed yesterday (2/26/23). They attempted extubating her last week, which was unsuccessful. They are going to attempt to extubate again in a couple of days after a little more healing. She will also require several months of in-patient rehabilitation once she is awake, possibly at Nemours. We have been out of work this past week, and continue to be as to support her needs. There are tons of medical bills piling up, on top of rent, utilities, food, gas, cars, etc.. Any financial help is appreciated, and if you're unable to donate, please consider sharing.
Thank you so much and with warmest regards,
Marygrace (Autumn's Mom)
