Autumn-Mae's Leukaemia Fundraiser

Hi, I'm Hazel, Mummy to my sweet little Autumn-Mae. Autumn is 2 and was diagnosed with AML leukaemia mid January. We are currently on course 2 of 4 for chemotherapy treatment. During treatment myself and my husband alternate staying with Autumn in hospital and using a room at the Ronald Mcdonald Charity House which has been a huge help.

AML is an aggressive fast type if Leukaemia and Autumn has struggled a lot with side effects from the chemotherapy. She is such a strong brave girl and she makes me so proud.

I would love to fundraise for a few different reasons.

1. To raise some funds for Ronald Mcdonald House who are a massive help to many many families whose lives change overnight as they help provide facilities to families who live further afield from Manchester like ourselves. This would include donating money and items the House is in need of.

2. Raise funds for Ward 86 who have helped us massively by providing items for the playroom, gifts for the children to brighten their experience and also provide items for the parents as you are thrown in the deep end with not much and I'd like to provide food/drink items for the parent kitchen and other essential things that parents may require when far from home.

3. Lastly, I'd love to be able to purchase some beautiful head accessories for those who lose their hair during chemotherapy like Autumn did, as it is a big emotional change and this would help young people go through this change.

Once we have fought through the four treatments, I would love to participate in hikes and marathons for charities like Macmillan and research for Leukaemia.
