UPDATE 2-13-23
ON JAX: Our little man is doing what they expect for his weight and age. Still on ventilator. Increased the pressure on the vent to try and keep more of his lungs open because there were sections of them that were collapsing. The increased pressure has helped but we still had an episode where oxygen and heart rate went down too much and they had to assist with his breathing over the ventilator. But they have suctioned his mouth and vent tube out and that has helped him. He has been getting to do some skin to skin with mommy as long as he is doing ok with his oxygen levels. ❤️. He has been getting to eat thru the feeding tube the last several days and is supposed to get 8cc every 3 hours now! He is gaining weight but they are not certain it is correct due to him still having so much fluid build up for which they are giving him a diuretic. His heart echo was good! We will take every single little win we get from him every day! Also we can not thank all of you enough for the continued prayers, love and support we have been blessed with! Thank you❤️
Update: 2-3-23
First of all we apologize to many of you who have reached out in so many ways to check on Jax and family. Hopefully you understand that they appreciate every single show of support and prayers but are just not able to thank everyone. He has kept us on our toes to say the least. He is still on a ventilator and continues to have a chest tube. They have inserted a picc line to help decrease the amount of IV attempts they have had to do. He received 2 more blood transfusions which I believe he has had transfusions at least 5+ times. They now believe he has pneumonia and possible issues with his abdomen that a lot of preemies have to deal with as well. He is on his 4th antibiotic. He has had some very scary days for us and is def making every nurse stay on their toes for every shift. Some wins we have had is he has actually gained a little weight and has peed on several people while having the tiniest diaper that I have ever seen in my life changed! We are hoping his eyes will open with in the next few days ( he was so premature that his eyes were still fused). He is our miracle and we ask that you continue sending your thoughts and prayers their way. Autumn has been here for a month straight and is the strongest person I have ever seen. Davi has been driving every day to be with her and Jax. He is a very lucky little man to have such strong parents and sooo many people’s love and support! Thank you all again and we will update all of you as much as we can!❤️
Update 1/23/23
UPDATE: First of all Autumn and Davi would like to thank everyone of you who have helped them in so many ways. They are not able to reply or tell everyone thank you for all your prayers and support themselves right now because Jax had to be delivered due to increasing fetal distress. Jax was born on the 22nd at 2:45am. He weighs 1 pound 2ounces. He is only 11.5 inches long. He is currently on a ventilator and they are trying to get him stabilized but that has been difficult to this point. He is not able to eat yet due to other complications. He is a fighter but has a very long road ahead of him. Jax will be in the nicu at least until May. So they will be there with Jax for at least 3 months. This little man has been through a lot to get to this point but his biggest challenges lie ahead of him. Please continue to pray for their new family and any additional support, no matter how small, would mean the world to them. Thank you all again for your continued prayers and support, it is appreciated more than you’ll ever know. Please share
Update :
I just wanted to give everyone another update on Autumn Macefe and Jax. She is still in the hospital and will probably be here for as long as the little guy can keep developing and not start to decline even more. They pretty much told them that he will be early and in the nicu for possibly months depending on when he is born and how he does afterwards. We had a pretty scary evening yesterday but then he bounced back for us and tests today show he is holding steady. Every single day counts but as he has shown us several times already things can change in a minute. So we continue to ask for all the prayers you can send our way for him, Autumn and Davi. Thank you all❤️
Ok, here it goes…..we never share anything personal but we are in a situation in which we need all the prayers we can get and I am starting a go fund me for my daughter Autumn Macefe and my favorite son in law Davi Macefe. So a brief update as to what is actually happening with them and baby Jax. We went for ultrasound a week ago. We were told He is too small (not growing as he should be) and has absent endiostalic flow in his umbilical artery. He has a condition called absent which means he may be at higher risk with health issues. They are in Magee Hospital. They have him put on a monitor every day to make sure he is active and growing. Again I do NOT post personal stuff let alone setting up a go fund me site to help with work loss, food, gas , parking. If you can help please do. If not no worries at all…prayers first and foremost trying to get him to 28 wks but that is going to depend on his tolerance and growth. She will have a c section when they weigh the risk of delivering vs taking chance with him in staying in her as long as possible. Again ANY support appreciated ❤️ Thank you so much!
