Autumn and Cody: Rebuilding Home

As many of you know, Autumn and I moved down to Alabama in September of 2020.  After our move we started on renovating an old farmhouse in hopes of it being our future home.  With six months of hard work behind us, and only a week left before move-in day, we were woken up to our dog barking at 5am, February 28th, alerting us that our house was on fire.  Firefighters were already on scene trying to take care of the situation, but the damage was done.  By 2pm our handcrafted home was decimated along with everything in it.  And sadly due to us not being fully moved in yet, we had not insured our belongings in the house.

I am thankful that nobody was in the house at the time.  Everyone one is safe physically, but emotionally we will be hurting for awhile about this loss. We would also like thank the firefighters and police officers worked from the wee hours of the morning into the hot hours of the afternoon keeping those around us safe from the flames that have been jumping for 15 hours straight.

Autumn and I are starting this gofundme in hopes of beginning the process of starting anew and hopefully re-homing ourselves.  We lost basically all of our physical belongings and keepsakes, save just a few we had yet to move in.  Not to mention countless hours of labor, materials, and overall our future plans of starting our first home.  We are looking for any support anyone can give in this process of healing.  We are grateful for every resource and prayers offered to us.  We set this goal at $10,000 as it was invested into materials, furniture, and every other item that was lost to the fire. 

Every dime and dollar helps, but more than anything I want to say thank you for your prayers and out pouring of love. Autumn and I have been showered with love and hugs today.  From our close family to our local church, it has meant more than we can ever express. We are so grateful for the love of those around us, and we cannot begin to say how blessed we are by the amount of people surrounding us during this hard time.  Thank you.
