Four family members out of Texas were in a motorcycle accident in the mountains of Arkansas near Harrison, AR on October 9, 2020. My husband, Chester, somehow went off the road and crashed his 2012 Road Glide Ultra with my 17 year old Grand-daughter, Sam, as a passenger. My son, Steven and his wife, Julia, were behind them on their Harley and went down to avoid hitting them. Chester, Julia and Sam were all air lifted to different hospitals. Julia and Sam went to Little Rock, AR and Chester went to Springfield, MO. Chester is in critical condition with multiple injuries as the motorcycle landed on top of him. He is still in Neuro ICU and has a very long road to recovery. Sam has a broken hip and shoulder; thankfully only the hip required surgery. Julia has broken ribs and wrist. Steven has broken bones on top of his foot and other lacerations. Steven, Julia and Sam cannot return to work for at least 2 months. I'm not sure when Chester will be able to return to work, but we are probably looking at several months as well. Chester got off the ventilator Saturday, October 17 and we are making progress daily. The other 3 are home and starting the healing process.
This fundraiser is to help pay for the family's medical expenses and to help financially since they won't be able to return to work for a while.
