Anyone who knows my father knows he dedicated his life to his family and those he loved. He was the best dad, the best husband, brother, grandpa, uncle, cousin, you name it. He was the best at everything he did. Because he lived his life to the fullest and with love and passion in everything he did. The lengths he would go to for those he loved were endless and anyone who knew him knows that. He would go without so that others didn’t have to. He was a relatively healthy 60 year old man. Why did he go to the hospital two times prior and they didn’t catch anything No blood work. Just an x ray. He died from septic shock. Yet the doctor told me in the room he was giving him higher than the recommended dosage of fentanyl and then some to keep him comfortable. Why did they push us so hard to let him go and pull the ventilator.. My dad had plans that weren’t finished. He had things he still wanted to do. So many grandchildren that adored him. He was the best pa paw any kid could of asked for and now he’s gone. Here one day perfectly healthy and gone the next. None of us saw this coming. Him and my mother were married for 36 years and were practically inseparable. Everyday he was out truck driving he was on the phone talking to her, when he was home he was always spending time with her and all his family. We’re all going to miss him dearly. His presence brought such a joy to all around him. Now that he’s no longer with us, we’re all at a loss. It doesn’t even feel real it’s so unbelievable. Its heart breaking. Anything will help. Until then keep the Maynard family in your prayers. We know he’s up there working on bee colonies and watching over all his family. Just like he did here when he was with us.
