"Hello friends,
My name is Tokahe, and I am starting this GoFundMe for the benefit of my mother who has been in desperate need of help. If you know me, you'll know that I am a proud person and don't like to ask for help very often. I would much rather take care of things myself whenever I can. However this has gotten to the point where I don't have many other options. Luckily I have so many great friends that have encouraged me that it's okay to ask for help once in a while, which is why I've come forward to create this GoFundMe.
A little bit about my mom: she is a beautiful and spiritual person who is an amazing artist, singer, musician, actor, dancer, lover, and healer. She is also one of the most creative and inspiring person that I know, not to mention kind-hearted. Without her support I would not be here accomplishing my dreams and pursuing my passions, such as playing professional paintball and music.
Unfortunately, she has dyslexia, arthritis, autism, and other disabilities, as well as having had experienced traumatizing injuries when she was younger, which makes life very difficult for her. She's also been living on the streets for over five years and has been repeatedly harassed and taken advantage of by law enforcement. All of this, combined with her lack of transportation, is preventing her from getting work. She is on disability, but the amount she's receiving is not enough.
Despite all this, my mother, Kennon Joan Hamil, takes on everything with love in her heart and is always trying to help people no matter what. This is why I want to help her and hope that my friends can lend us a hand.
My goal is to raise enough money so that we can purchase her an inexpensive car and get her mobile to make it easier for her to take care of herself. Any amount will help, even a dollar, and will be very appreciated. Any extra we receive will go to her other expenses. We will also accept hugs, positive thoughts, and prayers.
