Autolomous are incredibly excited to be fundraising for the Emily Whitehead Foundation through our upcoming charity run at Battersea Park on 25 March 2026.
The Emily Whitehead Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to "Activating the Cure" for childhood cancer. It was founded in honour of Emily Whitehead, who in 2012 became the first pediatric patient in the world to receive CAR-T cell therapy—a pioneering form of immunotherapy that trains a patient’s own immune system to recognise and destroy cancer cells. After standard treatments had failed and her family was told there were no options left, this experimental therapy saved Emily’s life. Today, she is over a decade cancer-free.
The foundation works tirelessly to ensure that more children have access to these life-saving, less toxic treatments. By donating to our run, you are helping EWF:
- Fund Groundbreaking Research - Providing grants to researchers developing the next generation of immunotherapy and advanced therapies.
- Support Families - Acting as a vital resource for families navigating a childhood cancer diagnosis and helping them find clinical trials.
- Advocate for Patients - Raising global awareness to ensure that targeted, effective treatments become the standard of care for every child.
At Autolomous, we see the potential of these therapies every day, and we are proud to run in support of a foundation that turned a "miracle" into a reality for thousands of patients worldwide. Every donation, no matter the size, helps move us one step closer to a world where every child can survive cancer.
Thank you for your support!
