On September 1, 2021 Tropical Storm Ida dumped a record of 9 inches of rain in Flemington. Just 3 years old, Dad’s business, Auto Oasis, suffered major rain damage submerging the building and the lot with over 3 feet of water. Many of the cars on the property are now unsalvageable and most of the machinery and equipment was either damaged or destroyed. FEMA declined assistance to this small business and insurance fully denied any coverage.
