Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of Australian Farm Animal Rescue Matters Limited (AFARM) and every donation will help.
We take in abused and abandoned farm and working animals, providing vet care, rehabilitation, shelters, balanced feeding, and a permanent retirement home where we give 24-hour care.
We provide free-of-charge respite care for animals homeless or abandoned where owners are hospitalised ((particularly with the elderly ), arrested or incarcerated or where the animal owner has had to flee from domestic violence.
These animals are collected, cared for and returned to the owner when their circumstances permit. AFARM is establishing working relationships with R.S.P.C.A ( taking large animals which cannot be housed by R.S.P.C.A), Queensland Police, hospital and social workers, court house solicitors and Domestic Violence services. All our helpers are volunteers except where specialist paid care is required e.g. Vets. Our vet and feed bills are already over $40,000 this year
The photo is of a 30 yr old horse and when we got her she was very neglected, we take in any animal that needs our help.
