Austin's Legacy

UPDATE ON USE OF RAISED FUNDS AND REFUND OPTION:

Thank you all for your generosity toward Austin over the last month. With his passing, the money raised will be used for his legacy. We are not settled on organizations yet but considering police, EMS, the Augusta Burn Center, and other organizations that we feel would continue to do good in this world. 

 With that said, some who gave towards Austin’s recovery may not want their money used towards his legacy or in support of the organizations that served Austin during his battle, which we completely understand. Unfortunately, he lost the fight and the chance for recovery is no more, so ‘legacy’ is our only remaining option for the use of this money.

6/25/25 UPDATE:

Wanting to make sure the news of Austin's passing was clearly communicated, we shut this Go Fund Me so that no one would mistakenly give toward recovery. We are now re-opening this Go Fund Me for anyone that would like to give in honor of Austin's Legacy.

The family will be using the donated funds to honor Austin's Legacy in a number of ways. As this is all donated money, the family feels a deep responsibility to steward it well. We will update you when we have insight on the specific ways this money will be used.

FROM MAY 2025:

Austin was in a motorcycle accident on May 16th, 2025. He sufferered multiple critical injuries - with the most major being his body was 90% burned. By the Grace of God, Austin survived the accident. He currently is on life support but each day his body gains strength and his outlook for survival becomes more promising.

Long term, Austin faces a months-long ICU recovery, multiple surgeries, and extensive rehab. The journey will be long and very expensive. This Go Fund Me page is meant to help offset Austin's medical bills and support his long term rehab and care. 100% of your financial gift will go to Austin for his care and rehabilitation.

We all know that Austin is a fighter and he WILL overcome these challenges. But he'll need his people alongside him every step of the way: Going to God for him in prayer, showing up as his community, encouraging him to push forward, and supporting him financially.
