My name is Austin Harris, I am a freshmen at Ashland High School, and I am raising money for the 2017 Pacific Rim Bowl. I am determend to raise this money by end of May. This is a great opportunity for me and my teammates to not only travel abroad, but learn about another culture through football. The mission of Pacific Rim Bowl is to develop character, leadership and enhance cultural awareness between students-athletes from Ashland Oregon USA, and the Kansai region of Japan.The cost to paticipate in the Pacific Rim Bowl is $2000 per player. This covers many things including airfair, food, and housing. While in Japan we will also be practicing everyday. Each player will be staying with their host families and learning about their daily lives.The one week trip includes an education at the peace memorial in Hiroshima, traveling at 186 mph on the Shinkansen (bullet train), touring temples and castles in Kansai, and enjoying a japanese bath house.The week ends in the Pacific Rim Bowl with a japanese style cheerleading and competitive football.
