Dear family, friends and well-wishers,
First let me extend our heartfelt thanks for the overwhelming love and support that has been shown to our family during this very difficult time. Now, more than ever we need you all.
My nephew, Austin Blake Bolding, is the victim of an accidental shooting.
On January 11, 2017 Austin was rushed to Richardson Medical in Rayville, LA. Once there they stabilized him and airlifted him to LSU in Shreveport, LA. As soon as he landed he was rushed to the OR for emergency surgery to repair all the damage and remove the bullet. The surgeon was able to repair his kidney, liver and lung but was unable to remove the bullet because it is lodged in Austin's spine. Austin is now paralyzed from the waist down. Still very critical after the surgery, he is placed in ICU until stable enough to be moved to a room. Unfortunately, Austin will not be able to go home from the hospital. From the hospital, he will be transferred to a rehabilitation center by ambulance, where he will be for at least 2 months before being released to go home. Changes to his home will have to be made to accommodate him and his wheelchair.
Due to the negligence of someone else, Austin's mother has an overwhelming amount of mounting medical bills. Being the sole provider for Austin she is unable to work.
If you are able, please donate no matter how small. May God Bless You All.
Sincerely,
Tammy Talley Rainwater
