Hi, I am Austin Posty Malloy! My Mommy adopted me in November from a rescue group. I was found in August 2024 with my two sisters. We were abandoned quickly after birth. We were saved by Helen Sanders Cat Paws off of a busy street...Long Beach Blvd., in Long Beach, CA.

We were bottled feed and I came up for adoption in November. That is when I met my forever family. Jeri and John Malloy. They had lost their beautiful boy Calvin of 18 years in July.

They brought me into their loving home. I was getting settled in very nicely. I went for a routine vet check and was tested for FIV/FEVLP and tested negative. I then started my vaccination process. And well, I am now very sick. My Mommy caught it in time. We are looking at a bit of a medical journey we weren't prepared for.

Last night we rushed to my vet. My initial visit was $770.00. This was for assessment, testing of the fluid removed for my belly and the initial 5 days of medicine. I will be taking a new medicine that has shown great success in stopping the progression of FIV and prolonging my life. I have so much to life to live, and love to give as I am only 6 months old.

I will be on medication twice a day for at least 2 or 3 months. The medication will cost $313.00 for 40 pills. I will also be in need of future testing and vet visits.

My Mom isn't a person who asks for help. She is used to being the helper or caregiver. As the vet and medicine bills come in we will upload updated statements.
