Austin Hiros collarbone recovery
Donation protected
Hey guys and gals,
Setting this up for a good friend of mine, Austin Hiro. He recently sustained a pretty bad collarbone break at my house riding “The Shire” and had to undergo surgery ASAP due to the severity of it. Austin unfortunately doesn't have medical insurance and has been set up on a payment plan to pay off his medical bills. Still not entirely sure how much all this will come out to for him, but I know when I did mine 3 years ago, it costed insurance 70k.
If anyone truly knows Austin, this dude is the epitome of a truly hardworking individual with grit and skills to pay the bills, if you know what I mean. Austin seems to have hit a rough patch the past few years injury-wise with Murphy's law. Nevertheless, that hasn’t stopped him from being the overly positive and humble dude that he is. He got hurt last year with no medical insurance as well riding quads in the dunes and ended up in the hospital on a payment plan again. I truly feel for this dude from the bottom of my heart (considering I know Murphy pretty well myself, unfortunately). I write this with tears in my eyes knowing how good of a person this man is, but how unfortunate his luck has been.
Hoping that in this time of need, more than anything, the community Austin has built around himself will allow him to lean on them while he’s recovering. He’s way too stubborn and hard-headed to put one of these up for himself considering he did it to himself, but I don’t think that’s any excuse why we all as family and friends can’t help ease some of this financial burden so he can get back to making and doing amazing things stress-free.
Love you all,
Ian
