Hi my name is Jolene Barker, I am starting this go fund me for my son Austin Barker. As some of you may have heard or seen from the news or by word of mouth Tuesday night he was in a horrible moped vs van accident and is now in critical condition and in the ICU at Methodist hospital here in Des Moines Iowa. Since Tuesday’s he has been in medically induced coma, he has broke multiple bones throughout his whole leg and had to have a very invasive surgery to correct that, he has brain bleeding and swelling and they have since had to perform emergency brain surgery to remove part of his skull to make room for the swelling. With that being said it is going to be a really long road to recovery for Austin including hospital time, rehab, learning new abilities to come home. We would like to collect these funds to help for when Austin comes home and of course on going house hold bills for family with loss of work due to these horrible circumstances. We appreciate every single one of you and the support that we have had.
