Hello everyone!

My name is Azarai and I am the significant other of Austin Cuadro. We have been together for 7 years. Below I will share the traumatic experiences that Austin and I have been going through since Tuesday morning, September 23rd.

On the morning of September 23rd, I got a call regarding Austin being rushed to the emergency room. Austin experienced a very serious work-related injury that required him to be hospitalized. He had to be intubated and sedated for two days. They did confirm with a CT scan that Austin suffered several facial fractures as well as lacerations on his lower lip and bruising all over the right side of his jaw and neck. Doctors and nurses informed us that Austin would be needing a pretty extensive surgery due to all of his injuries. Austin has also been on a feeding tube since he was taken off sedation and no longer needed a breathing tube.

On Sunday, 9/28, Austin went in for surgery. Surgery went smoothly and successfully. His jaw is now wired and rubber band shut to facilitate healing. Therefore, for the time being, he is very limited when it comes to talking; however, he is now thankfully on the road to recovery.

We are told that he will be discharged from the hospital on Friday, 10/3. Austin will be going home with his feeding tube, and I will be home with him to help him with his care, such as feeding, medications, and follow-up appointments. Due to this event, I have also had to take a leave from work to care for him and be here for him during this difficult time. With that said, because both of us are missing work, we are not receiving our normal income to help pay our own personal monthly bills. We greatly appreciate all of your continuous support, love, and encouragement during this trying time for us. Any amount or even a share would be greatly appreciated.
