Austen & Tyler's Kidney Transplant
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Awesome People,
My name is Austen Butler and this is my story...
In the fall of 2009, I met a good friend of mine (Tyler Dandrea) at East Carolina University. Little did I know that he would actually save my life... A few years after meeting Tyler, I was diagnosed with a kidney disease known as IgA nephropathy. In July of 2016, my condition entered "End Stage Renal Failure" (Stage 5). As a result, I was faced with two tough options; either go on dialysis for the rest of my life and wait for a kidney on the kidney transplant list (a process which could take between 3-5 years) or find a matching living donor and have a transplant ASAP. After finding out that no one in my immediate family passed as a suitable candidate, I was left with very few options. Fortunately enough for me, my roommate back in college stepped up big for me! Today, I am proud to announce that not only is Tyler a suitable donor, but we have been notified that we are both cleared for surgery. On February 1st, 2017 we will undergo Kidney Transplant surgery.
Unfortunately, due to a pre-existing condition clause, outside costs not covered by insurance, and weeks of no income due to recovery time, Tyler and I are left with a heavy financial burden and we're looking for YOUR KIND SUPPORT.
Here is a list of what your generous donations would go towards:
-Medical Bills
-Medical Bills
-Medical Bills
-Family Hotel Stay (during surgery)
-Food
-Medical Bills
-Rent
-Misc. Expenses
-and Medical Bills (Average kidney transplant cost around $330,000 with an average of $15,000 out of pocket.)
Any Donation(s) from you would be much appreciated!!!
Thank You and God Bless
