Supporting Austen’s Family
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our greatest friend, devoted husband, loving father, and cherished family member, Austen Todd.
On Tuesday, August 25th, Austen lost a long, tragic battle with PTSD—an illness that eroded his quality of life and ultimately took him from the world he loved so deeply.
Austen was a genuine giver in every sense of the word. As a paramedic, he dedicated his career and life to helping others in their time of need. He gave selflessly to his work, his friends, his family, and his community.
In December 2023, he swam a gruelling 50 kilometres in the Murray River to raise over $5,000 for the 4 Aussie Heroes Foundation—an incredible testament to his effervescent spirit, generosity, and determination to give back.
Above all else, Austen’s family meant everything to him. He was deeply devoted to his beautiful wife, Sarah, and their two precious children, Heidi and Jesse. His illness robbed him of the future he cherished and dreamt of with them.
As Sarah, Heidi, and Jesse navigate this unimaginable loss and grief, we want to surround them with the same care and support that Austen so freely gave to everyone around him.
This fundraiser has been created directly for Sarah, Heidi, and Jesse to help ease the financial burden ahead—covering day-to-day living costs, upcoming expenses, and providing stability for the children as they face life without their loving dad.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will directly support Austen’s family. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page and keeping Sarah, Heidi, Jesse, and Austen’s loved ones in your thoughts.
Thank you for honoring Austen’s legacy of giving, love, and service.
