Australian Olympic Bobsled Team

To compete in the North American Cup and World Cup competitions to gain enough points to qualify for the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea, we need your support. Bobsleigh has only a handful of fixed costs, with the remainder of the costs limited to training and event participation.

Your support and donation will help provide for:

Training (sliding, gym and ice-house fees)
Accommodation while training & competing
Competition Entry Fees
Equipment Expenses

The Australian Bobsleigh Team is piloted by 2014 Winter Olympic brakeman Lucas Mata. Alongside Lucas is another 2014 Winter Olympic brakeman Gareth Nichols. Joining these two are 3 season veterans Lachlan Reidy, Hayden Smith, David Mari. The Australian Bobsleigh Team has been competing in the Bobsleigh of the Winter Olympics since Albertville in 1992. This team, now in their 4th season competing together, is building towards the 2018 Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea.
