I moved here to Oscoda, MI in 2018 with my two kids in tow to help my mother and her co-owner to help restore and reopen a historical landmark. Ausable Cozy Cabins is the old Ausable River Camp that has been here for more than 100 years. We have been up and going slowly for 5 years. May 30, 2023, we had a kitchen fire that spread from the main house to the garage and then to the store. Due to the age of the buildings, affordability, covid, etc we did not have structual insurance.

This is a landmark in the community and the loss of it is devastating. I am here raising money to help rebuild her and her co-owner, Henry Lott's home and store so they can reopen and keep the community thriving. All donations will go to cleanup, construction, necessities and so forth. This is to rebuild a home and a small store with a deli in it for all the food that everyone enjoyed.
