On November the 4th Aurora was presented to a major hospital in hope for answers regarding a lump on the left side of her neck, that had aggressively grown over a course of a month.
Within 25 days she had her first surgery and we were told a parents worst nightmare. Aurora had a type of cancer called neuroblastoma.
After multiple scans and tests, in the middle of December we left the hospital after being told she was cancer free, with a treatment plan ongoing for the next 5 years.
Unfortunately in May 2023 after Aurora’s first check up, there was an enlarged lymph node just below the initial scar site. Recently the lymph node was removed and biopsied. We were told there was traces of neuroblastoma present. With a treatment plan in place full of scans, tests and 2-8 cycles of chemotherapy, depending on her future results, our plan is to isolate during this period of time. Money is a concern for us with the expense of living in today’s society. Aurora’s daddy is pausing his apprenticeship as a fitter machinist until treatment is finished - whilst working with his employers to get through this hardship as easy as possible and myself being unable to work due to medical reasons.
Aurora is a 18 month old free spirit, with a personality stronger than anyone we know. Our plan is to make her journey as easy and stress free as possible, we hate to be the people to ask but if any friends or family could donate even as little as $2 help us kick this cancer to the curb. Our ultimate goal is to return any funds unused back to our donors. We would be forever thankful and grateful.
