On Monday, September 1st, Aurora and Shelby were heading back to Victoria after the Gold Coast DockDogs competition, with 4 dogs on board. While stopped at a u turn, a bus hit their van at 110+km/ph, killing Auroras Toller Retriever Andy shortly after impact as they were spun across the Hume Highway, and later Ranger, a Belgian Malinois Shelby and Indie had raised at 8 weeks old before he became Aurora’s forever boy, had to be put to sleep after suffering catastrophic injuries - thankfully Shelby was able to be with him while Aurora was in hospital. The other two dogs were sore but okay. Thankfully aside from horrific bruising and trauma, the humans were also okay. The van was written off along with a lot of belongings inside it, and the vet bills from that night start so far around $1500, and will possibly increase.

We are hoping to get vet bills paid, and then cover cost of replacing items lost, as well as ease the burden on Aurora as a small business owner, to give her the time to grieve and recover from such a traumatic shock, so that the business she loves so dearly can stay afloat and help many more of our pups.

If you could please help in any way, it would be deeply appreciated, and make a big impact in making it through this next rough season of life.
