Hello,
There have been offers to donate to our mama’s funeral so we wanted to give an opportunity by providing a link to do so.
Aurora had been living with
her husband Harry in an independent living apartment in Manteca this last year.
From time to time she needed to go to
the hospital due to medical reasons
related to her liver medications.
Generally after these hospital visits she
would need physical therapy support and would at that point be transferred to a
nursing facility until she was able to go
home.
In this case she was scheduled to be
released on June 11th but was instead
found mostly non-responsive by my
sister on June 10th at which point she
was transferred by ambulance to the
hospital at my sisters insistence.
Tragically, due to miscommunications
between emergency room and nursing
facility, my moms care was
compromised and that went unnoticed
by the facility.
My mama fought hard undergoing 3
surgeries, her condition improving over
the week but ultimately her kidneys failed and she passed away surrounded by family on June 21st at 11:53 pm.
As a family, we thank you for all the love and support you have shown and will
be sending out service announcements
soon.
Much love,
The Deering Family
