Donate to Aura's daddy surgery back in Venezuela

Hi Guys,

Bear with me because this is not an easy task. I do not like to bother my family and friends, but life is teaching me a lesson here.

I am fundraising to help my dad with the surgery and some of the medical expenses he will face in a few weeks from now.

All of you know me well, and if you do not, I am grateful you are taking the time to read our story.

Dad is all I have. I lost my mom years ago, and yes I have extended family, but truly we have each other for every little thing.

Last year he fainted and felt on the street in my home town back in Venezuela, it was not much but he got an ugly head injury. I arrived home a few days later to see him and his health was very much deteriorated, then the journey started (Jan 2023).

He has been in 5 different consultants, for various reasons and as it now, he had got a full body check up (all covered by me), he is on treatments for different pathologies but all under control. Until last month when we discovered he has a tumor. A a benign tumor, thanks God no cancer, but it is 4.5 cm, it is actively growing and it must be removed as soon as possible.

He is 84 years old and our public health service is inexistent to explain it some way. He has an insurance policy, but only covers emergencies, and they said, this is not one :(.

Those who met him 4 years ago when he came to visit me, knows that Dad is an incredible human being, not only saying it because he is my father, he really is, and to reach his age in a country with a severe financial crisis and not having the resources to pay and cover medical services, it is sad, unfair and frustrating.

I always support him, because the crisis back home does not allow people to live as any human being deserves, for example, his pension is $4.5 a month. So I do my best all the time to cover all his expenses on a weekly basis, but now either me nor my family can cover all the expenses coming up with this surgery, mostly because what has been already spent through out this year.

The funds will be used to pay the surgery and his bills for 2 weeks approx. The quote attached is valid only for 5 days and the surgery will be done as soon as we have the money. December 4th is the tentative date. The price might increase but I will figure it out, I just need some help to release the financial pressure I have at the moment.

I am also travelling home as he asked me to do so, and I promise to keep you all posted on his progress and recovery.

See attached the medical report and the quote, apologies for those who does not know Spanish. I would love to translate it but the text here will be too long and I do not want to make a mistake as it is all medical terms.

In Venezuela is not legally approved to raise a quote in dollars as it is not our national currency, however, the prices in this quote are dollars. In one line says that if we would like to pay in BS (bolívares), we must exchange it with the valid date rate by the time of the procedure. Crazy!!
