Aloha, My name is Eddie Farias. This early October, my brother and I lost our mother to a long, hard fought battle against multiple health issues. She fought hard through the very last day.

For those who don't know me, I am a Freshman at Menlo College and my brother, Charlie, is in 7th grade in Hawaii. For those of you who know me and my Ohana, you know we seldom ask for help, while quite often we are first in line to serve others in need. Recently, several people have reached out to assist my Ohana during this time of need; this is my way of asking and accepting your help.

Our mom was Tepa, the kindest and most beautiful soul. She always placed others before herself. She was genuine and fun, and an amazing role model. As her son I can say that she taught me half the things I know. She will be missed! With our mom’s passing, all of the financial weight is on my Grandparents. Our Grandparents are small organic farmers and have worked very hard, for years, to raise and provide for both me and my brother.

I am asking for your financial help. With your generosity, my goals are to get my Ohana back on track, to assist my brother and I with our education and life expenses, and to remove as much financial pressure from our Grandparents as possible. They have done everything they can to provide for both Charlie and I; now, we truly need your support.
